With this online tool, you can change the case of words in the given text to the title case. As the name suggests, the title case is used in the headings of articles, websites, newspapers, documents, and in the titles of books, movies, and songs. The title case allows visually highlights each meaningful word and grabs the reader's attention. The program turns the first letter of every important word, such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives into uppercase, while leaving unimportant words, such as conjunctions ("and", "as", "but", "for", "if", "nor", "or", "so", "yet"), prepositions ("as", "at", "by", "for", "in", "of", "off", "on", "per", "to", "up", "via"), and articles ("a", "an", "the") in lowercase. For example, if you enter the text "have an awesome day!" into the input field, then the output will be "Have an Awesome Day!". If you want to capitalize articles, conjunctions, prepositions, or any other words that were left in lowercase, then enter these words in the "Additional Words to Capitalize" option. This example turns the author's name and the name of a famous song into a title case. It makes every major word start with a capital letter, which helps differentiate the title text from the body text.
In this example, we load a list of our favorite horror movies and change the text case from lowercase to title case. We also add two articles "a" and "the" and the preposition "in" in the additional-words-to-capitalize option so that they also get turned into title case (by default articles and prepositions aren't capitalized).
In this example, we load three variations of headlines for a natural science journal and convert them into a title case format.
