With this online tool, you can delete words that are repeated two or more times in the given text. For example, if you load the text "two two pears pears" as the input, then you'll get the text "two pears" as the output. Behind the scenes, the program scans the text for identical words and removes both adjacent and non-adjacent word copies. For example, if your text is "two pears two pears", then the program will still return "two pears". You can also switch to the "Remove All Word Copies" mode, which completely deletes all words that appear in the text more than once (meaning only unique words that appear in the text once are left). For example, if your text is "two pears, two pears, two apples", then with this mode turned on, you will get the text "apples" as the output as it's the only word that is used in the text just one time. With the "Case-sensitive Duplicates" option, you can ensure that words that differ only by their letter case are not mistaken for duplicates. If this option is enabled, then words such as "pear", "Pear", and "pEAr" will be treated as different words because their letter case is different. The "Output Word Delimiter" option allows you to set a delimiter that will be printed between each unique word in the final output. Textabulous!

In this example, we remove repeated words from a paragraph of text where some words have been printed twice, thrice, and even four times. To get a clean text without duplicates, we enter it in the input area, set the word separator to the space symbol, and get unique words in the output area. We also enable the "Case-sensitive Duplicates" option so that the words "Number" and "number" are treated as two unique words, since they are homographs.
In this example, we remove repeated cities from a vertical list of cities that we love the most. To also get a vertical list of cities as output, we use the newline character "\n" as the output word delimiter.
In this example, we use our duplicate word remover to read a secret message from our pen pal. Our friend used an interesting encryption scheme to make sure no one could read her message. The actual message is hidden between many random repeated words. To reveal the message, all repeated words have to be deleted. To do this, we turn on the "Remove All Word Copies" option and as a result, the message with a secret code is revealed.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!
