With this online tool, you can sort all the paragraphs in the given text. Technically speaking, text contains multiple paragraphs if there are one or more empty lines between text blocks. As soon as you paste or load a multi-paragraph text in the input, the program will rearrange the paragraphs in the order according to the selected sorting criteria. In particular, you can sort the paragraphs alphabetically, numerically, by length, and by difficulty. At the same time, the paragraphs can be placed in ascending or descending order. The alphabetical sort option rearranges the paragraphs according to the order of letters in the English alphabet. By default, paragraphs that start with uppercase and lowercase letters are sorted separately (all paragraphs that start with uppercase letters are displayed first, and then all lowercase paragraphs). If you want to sort mixed case paragraphs together, then you can select the "Case-insensitive Paragraphs" option and keep the original case of each paragraph in the output. If you choose the "Sort All Paragraphs as Lowercase" option, then you'll get all paragraphs in lowercase in the output. Numeric sorting rearranges paragraphs by the numbers or digits that appear at the beginning of paragraphs. Sorting by length rearranges paragraphs by their length, starting with the shortest paragraph and ending with the longest (or vice versa if the descending order option is active). Sorting by difficulty rearranges paragraphs according to their inherent complexity. The inherent complexity is measured via Shannon's entropy score. Finally, the utility provides the "Remove Paragraph Copies" option that automatically removes all duplicate paragraphs from the text. Textabulous!

In this example, we sort four choruses of Linkin Park's famous song "In the End". We separate the chorus one from another by an empty line, converting them into paragraphs, and choose the ascending alphabetical paragraph sort order. Once they are sorted, the second chorus moves to the first position (since it starts with the letter "B"), the third chorus moves to the second position (since it starts with "I had…"), and the first paragraph is now in the third position (since it begins with "I tried…"). The fourth paragraph completely disappears from the output because it's identical to the second one, and the option to delete paragraph copies is active.
In this example, we write out four of our favorite Socrates quotes. Once they are loaded in the input, we sort them by their lengths in the output. We choose the descending order so that the longest quote is printed at the top of the output list and the shortest one is printed at the end of the list.
In this example, we sort four short paragraphs by their difficulty score that's based on the value of Shannon's entropy. We find that the simplest paragraph is "happy day" as it consists only of five unique letters "apyhd" with three of them repeated twice. In the second place, we get the paragraph "summer sun" since it consists of six different letters "sumern" with three of them being repeated. In the third place, we get the paragraph "a few cats" as it consists of seven unique letters "afewcts" and only one of them is repeated. And in the final fourth place, we get the paragraph "big house" as all letters in this paragraph are unique and there are no repetitions.
