With this online tool, you can remove unwanted characters from the given text. It also works well with removing certain symbols, digits, and even punctuation marks. You can paste a word, a sentence, a paragraph of text, a large text fragment, or even a file into the input, and completely remove the specified character (or several characters) from it. You just need to list the symbols to be deleted in the option, and the program will find all these symbols in the text and drop them. For example, after removing the letters "ou" from the phrase "You Can", you'll get the text "Y Can". The letters to be removed can be set to be case-sensitive and there's an option called "Case Sensitive Removal". Also, we thought about an edge case when all letters in two (or more) consecutive words are removed. In this case, double or triple empty spaces are formed. You can fix such repeated spaces via the additional "Clean Up Spaces" option. Textabulous!

In this example, we load a riddle about a lion as text. We want to make the riddle more difficult and to do it, we remove all letters that are in the world "lion" from it. We ignore the letter case and also get rid of extra spaces in places where complete words were erased. As a result, the original riddle is converted into a super complex riddle with many letters and words missing.
In this example, we remove multiple vowels from a simple phrase. To do this, we list the vowels that are used in the phrase in the option, and in the output we get a new phrase that consists only of consonants. If you read just the output phrase, can you figure out what it says?
In this example, we use our letter removal program to create acronyms of popular phrases. We write the phrases in title format, enter all lowercase letters in the removal option, and activate the "Case Sensitive Removal" mode. As a result, the program removes all lowercase alphabet letters from the text, leaving only the initial capital letters of all phrases, producing their abbreviations.
This example removes numeration from text by deleting digits "12345" as well as the parenthesis symbol ")". The original text contains the most popular Hollywood actors numbered one to five and the new output text contains the same names but without the popularity positions.
In this example, we delete the most common English punctuation marks from the text: period, comma, quotation, question, exclamation, brackets, braces, parenthesis, dash, hyphen, ellipsis, colon, semicolon, and apostrophe.
This example deletes all consonants from the word Mississippi – the second largest river in the USA. Funnily, after removing all consonants, only four copies of the letter "i" remain.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!
