With this online tool, you can randomly change the order of lines in the given text. It can shuffle ordered lists, mix a list of numbers, randomize lines in a poem, verse, or chorus, or mix lines of text with ideas, songs, or books. The program offers several options for customizing how line randomization is performed. One such option is the "Group Length", which creates groups of lines of a certain length before they are moved around. For example, if you set the group length to 3, then every three lines will be moved together as a unit (rather than each line separately). Another useful feature can be enabled via the "Trim Lines" option. It removes any extra spaces or indents at the beginning and end of each line. The "Remove Repeating Lines" option automatically detects and removes all duplicate lines in the text. This way, you can display only the unique lines in the randomized list. Finally, the "Remove Blank Lines" option is useful for removing any lines in the text that are completely empty or contain only non-visible whitespaces. Textabulous!

In this example, we use our tool to prepare for a math exam. We randomize the order of study notes for self-testing. By shuffling the order of topics, we create a quiz for ourselves that tests our understanding of the material. When topics are randomized, they can no longer be just memorized by their order but require more thorough understanding.
In this example, we mix a list of sports exercises to create a new training program for today. We enter various exercises on separate lines and randomize their positions. We also remove repeated exercises and discard empty lines that somehow made it into the list. As a result, we get a new training program with unique exercises in the output.
In this example, we create a unique playlist by randomizing the order of the songs. In our original playlist, songs come in pairs – there are two songs about love, two songs about money, two songs about freedom, and two songs about friendship. To keep the song topics, we set the group randomization order to 2. This way, every two songs create a combined pair and both songs are always moved to a new random position together.
You can pass input to this tool via ?input query argument and it will automatically compute output. Here's how to type it in your browser's address bar. Click to try!
