This tool applies the Zalgo effect to the input text. The Zalgo effect creates chaotic, creepy, and unreadable text with the feel of a horror movie and a sound of metal. Zalgo text is created by adding random glyphs to the basic letters. These glyphs include accents, macrons, rings, diaereses, umlauts, circumflexes, and other Latin diacritics. There are three fundamental types of combining glyphs that this Zalgo generator uses – top glyphs (such as "◌̂", or "◌̃"), middle glyphs (such as "◌̴", or "◌̷"), and bottom glyphs (such as "◌̤", or "◌̪"). They can be added to the base characters individually (for example, "â", "a̵", or "ḁ") or all at once (for example, "ḁ̵̂", "ã̪̪̃", or "á̴̤̥̂"). We call the number of these characters the "Chaos Level". With a higher chaos level, the text becomes more and more disorganized. For example, the chaos level 1 produces text like this "s̗͌c̲͆a̕͢r᷇͢y͉᷁" but the chaos level 3 produces much more noisy text "s̙͓̼̎̆̀c̙̘̹̓̉̅a̪̮̟ͧ͛͐r̭̪͇̅͐ͥy̨̧͇̔᷆ͦ". In this tool, you can adjust the range of chaos level by setting the minimum and the maximum number of glyphs to use for each letter. In this example, we ask Zalgo to make a list of horror movies even scarier. We use the "Full Craziness" option and let him distort the top and bottom parts of the text. We use a range of one to five diacritical characters for each letter and skip adding the Zalgo effect to spaces and newlines.
This example introduces a slight corruption in Vincent Price's quote. Zalgo is only partially crazy here and the readability of the phrase is maintained. It adds glitchy characters only above the text and uses exactly 4 glitch glyphs for each letter. As the glitch glyphs are unique for each letter, some of them are placed on top of another, some go to the left, some to the right, and that creates a nice chaotic effect.
In this example, we summon Zalgo using a powerful spell. To increase the power of the incantation, you must read it 13 times, 13 minutes before midnight on the 13th Friday of the year. It must be read slowly and quietly in a dark room with a candle. If you did it correctly, Zalgo will enter your room through the shadow of your candlelight. Only a few chosen will get to meet Zalgo.
