With this online tool, you can delete certain patterns that appear at the end of text lines. A pattern that appears at the end of a text line is called a suffix, and also sometimes called a postfix. A suffix can appear at the end of the entire text (on the very last line), at the end of each line, or at the end of each paragraph. You can choose one of the three suffix removal modes, depending on where the suffix is located. The "Suffix at the End of Text" mode gets rid of the only suffix that is at the very end of the entire text. The "Suffix at the End of Line" mode deletes the patterns at the end of each text line. The "Suffix at the End of Paragraph" mode cleans the ending parts of each paragraph. The program can simultaneously delete multiple prefix patterns. The prefix patterns can be single letters such as "s", multiple letters such as "ss", emoticons and emoji smileys such as "😊", punctuation marks such as "!", "?", or ".", longer substrings such as "ing", or entire words such as "red". All suffixed that need to be removed can be placed one by one in the "Suffix Patterns" option in a vertical list, separated by line breaks. If the letter case of the deleted suffix is important to you, then you can activate the "Case Sensitive Suffixes" option. This option separately removes uppercase and lowercase suffixes. If a suffix is used in the text more than once (a repeated suffix, such as three dots in the text "deep thinking..."), then you can delete all its copies by turning on the "Deep Suffix Removal" option. Textabulous!

In this example, we remove just one suffix from the end of a quote. We use the "Suffix at the End of Text" mode and enter the full name of the quote's author in the "Suffix Patterns" option.
In this example, we insert a list of popular apple varieties as the input. Each line has the same word at the end, which is either "Apple" with a capital "A" or "apple" with a small letter "a". To remove only the capitalized suffix version, we activate the "Case Sensitive Suffixes" option, and this way, we get a list without the capitalized "Apple" versions.
In this example, we copied text about kangaroos from a Word document but somehow a bunch of pilcrow characters "¶" (also known as paragraph marks) appeared at the end of each paragraph. To quickly get clean text and also remove repeated paraph marks, we activated the "Deep Suffix Removal" option and all of them were removed.
