With this online tool, you can add a decorative character between all letters of all words in any text. For example, if you enter the text "Pink unicorn" and choose a "." as the decorator symbol, then you'll get the output text "P.i.n.k u.n.i.c.o.r.n". Besides a dot, you can choose any other character. It can be a hyphen, underscore, apostrophe, regular space, and even an emoji. The symbol to use can be specified in the options. By default, symbols are only added between every two letters but you can also activate options to add them at the beginning of a word and at the end of a word. If both options are activated, then the text "Pink unicorn" will turn into ".P.i.n.k. .u.n.i.c.o.r.n.". If the input text contains abbreviations or contractions that use an apostrophe, or hyphen-separated words, then you can use two additional options. In this example, we insert a decorative period character between every two letters of every word in a short phrase. We also enable the "Insert a Symbol Before the First Letter" and "Insert a Symbol After the Last Letter" options so that extra dots also appeared at the start and end of each word.
In this example, we load a quote by M. Scott Peck and add underscores to it. We enter the "_" symbol in the "insert-symbol" option, and now the output quote has underscores inside each word.
In this example, we increase the spacing between letters by inserting an additional space character between them. We activate the extra spacing options (namely, add a space at the beginning and end of each word), and we also surround the hyphen with two spaces on both sides of the hyphen in the word "one-way".
